ITEM 886 Sorting or Segregating

When Carrier is required to sort and/or segregate consignor or consignees shipment or shipments, or when Carrier is required to perform additional handling to complete delivery, a charge of $3.29 cwt subject to a $104.50 minimum charge will apply in addition to all other lawful charges. Additional handling includes, but is not limited to, removal of pieces from pallet, transfer of pieces from one pallet to another, placement of pieces in racks/shelves, etc. The party responsible for the freight charges shall also be responsible for the charges accrued under this item.
