- The consignee is responsible for returning the delivery receipts to Saia within 48 hours of unloading when Carrier has dropped a trailer at the consignee's location for unloading. Extending the 48 hour limit is prohibited unless there is a written agreement extending the time period.
- Failure of the consignee to return the delivery receipts within the 48 hour allotted time periods permits Carrier to use any internal records including manifests, trip cards, seal records, etc. as proof of delivery.
- The use of internal records as proof of delivery shall result in Carrier being absolved of any cargo claims for the shipments tendered to the consignee on the trailer that was dropped.
- The use of internal records as proof of delivery shall satisfy proof of delivery for invoicing purposes.
